That said, it’s a little surprising Pochettino’s future remains in the balance but Todd Boehly appears to be considering a change.
It has just emerged, that they are in talks with a manager, who Manchester United are also looking at.
Chelsea in talks to appoint Thomas Tuchel
According to Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg, Chelsea are in talks to reappoint former manager Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel is set to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season and will either take a break or return to the Premier League.
Manchester United are also said to be considering a move for the Bayern boss and both clubs are ‘concrete destinations’.
The German is widely considered a ‘world class’ manager and his style of play has been described as ‘scintillating’.
Chelsea should place their trust in Mauricio Pochettino
Chelsea should place their trust in Pochettino and keep him in post for at least another year.
It seemed his side had gelled towards the end of the campaign and with another window, there’s no reason why he can’t be successful at Stamford Bridge.
Any discussion of an exit feels far too premature and even if they are to replace him, returning to Tuchel could be a mistake.
Boehly would have to convince Tuchel that he’s got his full backing, having sacked him last two years ago.
