Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement and ‘handshake deal’ to sign Brazilian striker Estevao Willian. Although this striker is young and upcoming, at just 17 years old, this transfer is exactly what this club needs to succeed next year. The Blues need some life, energy, and motivation back into their lackluster squad – and a forward who wants to prove all that he can do is someone who can bring that intense mentality into the team.
Estevao is one of the most promising players in the entire world at the moment, showcasing his talents at his current club, Palmeiras. He has been scouted by teams from all over the globe, including other Premier League teams. However, Chelsea has managed to secure a verbal agreement from the young #9 that has everyone in England talking about how he will make an impact for Chelsea next year.
Fabrizio Romano, an accredited and accomplished transfer journalist, confirmed the verbal agreement on social media just yesterday. Palmeiras and Chelsea have agreed to a deal worth more than $40 million for the young player, plus an additional $25+ million in add-ons and bonuses.
Romano also made sure to report that terms were finalized last week regarding personal measures for the player and his new contract, with the final step – the Palmeiras president signing the contract – the only thing left before Willian is officially a part of the Blues next year.
Chelsea 2024-2025 Premier League
Chelsea will contend in the Premier League for the next 2024-2025 season. Last year was a big year for the club, seeing the usually-high-ranking club come in the middle of the table after player issues, injuries, and errors made in games that led to costly points dropped. The club as a whole also saw changes, such as sponsorship deal variations, kit alterations, and personnel changes.
Next year, Chelsea could switch up their home kit to include red and orange accents that pay homage to their home kit back in the early 1990s. The club will most likely sell their brand-new tops on their website for between $90 and $110 for die-hard fans.
Furthermore, Chelsea’s fixture list will be released the second week of June, giving fans tons of time to purchase home and away tickets for their team. The 2024-2025 season is going to kick off on the weekend of August 17th, which is less than three months after the end of the 2023-2024 Premier League year.
