The dismissal, dated December 10, 2024, cited accusations of “gross misconduct, lack of respect for constituted authority, and fanning the embers of crisis” within the community.

In a letter addressed to Isike, Warri emphasized that the traditional ruler must no longer present himself as the Odio-logbo and must cease attending meetings of the local government and state traditional rulers’ council.

The council chairman’s decision follows increasing unrest in Olomoro, which has been attributed to leadership disputes involving Isike and attempts to undermine the recently elected President-General, Lucky Ewhe Ejoor, who has gained strong support from local leaders and residents.
