Stefan Ortega replaced Ederson and made a terrific save to deny Son Heung-min from levelling in the 85th minute as Arsenal fans said the same thing.

After Man City’s victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Brazilian stopper took to social media to reveal the messages he received from fans after his number was leaked.

He posted a picture of his WhatsApp chats, appearing to show messages from Arsenal and Spurs fans.

“My number was leaked, and I had some funny messages,” wrote Ederson, accompanied with an image of the messages.

Pep Guardiola will be sweating over Ederson’s health ahead of their title-deciding fixture at home to West Ham United on Sunday.

Speaking after the result, Guardiola revealed: “Ederson did not have concussion, he had a problem with his eye.

“He could not see properly so the doctor said I should change.

“He [Stefan Ortega] is a world-class keeper. He’s an exceptional, exceptional keeper.”

In his post-match press conference, he added: “Ederson had a kick in the eye and it is swollen. He can’t see properly. The doctor told me he needed to be replaced. I didn’t have an alternative.”

Ederson was distraught after being taken off against Spurs. He was consoled by his manager before taking his seat on the bench.

The 30-year-old has played 33 league games this season and will be hoping to start against West Ham in their final game of the season.
