The protesting women donned black clothing as they stormed the street holding placards that read: ‘an election no be war’, ‘Edo women for peace’, ‘Our votes na our power,’ ‘Police is for all of us, ‘no intimidation on election day.’
United in their cause, the protesters, hailing from all 18 Local Government Areas of the state, gathered at the bustling market. Here, they danced, sang, and voiced their demands.
