Alhaji Usman Sule, the Secretary of the Ningi Emirate Council, confirmed the Emir’s death in a statement released on Sunday. Sule announced that the funeral prayer for the late Emir would be held at the Emir’s palace in Ningi at 4:00 p.m. the same day.

Emir Danyaya, who was born in Ningi in 1936, was installed as the first-class traditional ruler of Bauchi State in 1978. His reign marked significant social and economic advancements within the emirate.

The late Emir’s educational journey began at Ningi Elementary School, where he studied from 1941 to 1946, followed by Bauchi Middle School from 1946 to 1951. He later attended the School of Hygiene in Kano in 1951 and completed a one-year course in Public Administration at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, between 1956 and 1957.

Emir Danyaya’s legacy is one of profound influence, with his leadership bringing about notable development in the Ningi Emirate Council during his decades-long reign.
