Reflecting on Nwosu’s tenure as NEC chairman from 1989 to 1993, Ihedioha praised his patriotism, dedication, and efforts to promote transparency and national unity. “Professor Nwosu’s introduction of the Option A4 voting system was a breakthrough for Nigeria’s electoral transparency,” Ihedioha noted. “Even in the wake of the June 12 annulment crisis, he stood firm, advocating for national cohesion and social justice despite personal risks.”
