A former President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Mr. Takai Shamang, has been kidnapped in his hometown of Biniki, Kaura Local Government Area, Kaduna State. Shamang, 78, a renowned labour leader, was also the former president-general of the National Union of Electricity and Gas Workers (now National Union of Electricity Employees) from 1982 to 1989.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The abduction was confirmed by his daughter, Mrs. Grace Abbin, on Sunday.
According to her, Shamang was taken from his Biniki residence around 8:00 pm on Friday.
Shamang is the founder and President of Gantys Aid for Widows, Orphans, and Needy Foundation (GAWON Foundation), a philanthropic organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable groups.
