The nominations took place on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at various ward headquarters across the 23 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state.
A statement released by the media office of the APC state chairman to newsmen, Monday in Abuja, said the primary election was conducted through consensus/affirmations in most local governments and council wards.
Commenting on the primaries, Hon. Samuel Atsuku, a participant from Tarka LGA, credited the smooth conduct of the primaries to the dedication of party stakeholders in the area. He expressed his appreciation to the party members for their peaceful conduct during the exercise and congratulated Hon. Koryave Isaac Aondaver, the chairmanship candidate for Tarka LGA, along with all the successful councillorship candidates.
Similarly, Hon. Simon Aluor, who participated in the Katsina-Ala LGA primaries, praised the APC for its orderly and peaceful approach, expressing gratitude to party members for their continued trust.
In Gboko LGA, the primaries concluded without incident, with Hon. Basil Yina emerging as the party’s candidate for the chairmanship. Meanwhile, in Otukpo LGA, the party members overwhelmingly affirmed Oleho Augustine as their chairmanship candidate, with many turning out to publicly demonstrate their support.
Hon. Lazarus Asema, APC Chairman for Guma LGA, described the nomination process as peaceful and commended the state APC leadership for its effective organization.
In separate remarks, Hon. Abua Yaji and Hon. Fidelis Audu expressed their satisfaction with the process, lauding the efforts of stakeholders in ensuring a successful primary election.

Chia Bernard Terna (Vandeikya), Barr. Atom Phillip (Kwande), Hon. Andrew Ocheme (Ogbadibo), Hon. Ogbole Mathew Ebere (Obi), Barr. Napoleon Otache (Agatu), Hon. Elias Arugwu Ogbu (Ado), Hon. Eje John Elvis (Apa), Hon. Washima Tersoo Haris (Katsina-Ala), Hon. Ajeh Godwin Ogah (Ohimini), Hon. Akombo Stephen (Logo), Hon. Terver Agwaza (Ukum), Hon. Benjamin Atoza (Gwer), Hon. Denise China (Gwer-West), Hon. Vincent Zaatsa Apera (Guma), Hon. James Gbamwuan Agudu (Buruku), Hon. Tyopaase Benjamin (Ushongo), Mrs. Ene Ameh JP (Okpokwu), Hon. Jonathan Shimgbe (Makurdi), and Hon.
