Ganduje Storms Kano For Mother-In-Law’s Burial

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje arrived at the ancient city of Kano on Monday for burial of his mother in law, Hajiya Asiya Muhammad Gauyama. Dr. Ganduje arrived the city before noon on chartered flight in company of family, friends, and political associates.

He was recieved at Aminu Kano International Airport by a motley crowd of APC faithful that joined him in convoy to his private home at Nasarawa GRA.

Earlier, the Chief Press Secretary to Dr. Ganduje, Mr. Edwin Olofu had issued a statement that announced the passage of the matriarch.

Edwin Olofu, in the statement said, Hajiya Gauyama, the beloved mother of Professor Hafsatu Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the wife of the National Chairman, died in the early hours of Monday.

“It is with deep sorrow and heart-felt sympathy that we announce the passing of Hajiya Asiya Muhammad Gauyama, the beloved mother of Professor Hafsatu Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the wife of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje CON.

“Hajiya Asiya Muhammad Gauyama was a revered matriarch, whose life was characterized by her unwavering commitment to family, community and faith.

“Her passing is a profound loss, not only to her immediate family but also to all who knew and loved her.

“The funeral prayer for Hajiya Asiya Muhammad Gauyama will hold today, at 2 p.m. at the residence of Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje CON, located on Miyangu Road, Kano State.
