We finally agreed to come to the table to resolve the issue. She was still angry so she told me she wasn’t coming to my end. One weekend, I picked up a few things and went to her place to spend the weekend. We sat next to each other and talked all night. We were angry where we were supposed to be. We laughed when all was said and done. We ate together, showered together and made love all night.
The next morning we were both in the kitchen cooking and gossiping like newlyweds on a honeymoon. I left for my place on Sunday evening. Early Monday morning, I woke up to a WhatsApp message titled “Bills”

I laughed because why not? I called her to laugh at the joke but she retorted, “That’s how much you owe me and I want it paid as soon as possible. Going forward, every wifey duty I perform for you has to be paid for so when you leave me one day, I’ll know I got paid.”
I swore I wasn’t going to pay and I haven’t. So we are back to the battleground, screaming and throwing out words carelessly. She tells me until I send her the money, nothing will exist between us apart from chaos. It’s not about the money but the idea behind it. If she came to my end, I wouldn’t have asked her to pay so why should I?
I don’t care if this will lead to our breakup but enough is enough.
