Known for their exceptional ability to overcome barriers, the Igbo have a resilience that is unparalleled. He said, “As a proud community, they possess a level of self-confidence that is both admirable and enviable among other Nigerian ethnic groups.”

He continues, “This pride and confidence should not deter anyone from the Ndokwa or Ukwuani regions from associating with this distinguished group. There is no reason for discomfort in aligning with such a dynamic and resilient people. The apprehension some might feel is likely due to fear of the unknown. Individuals accustomed to a particular comfort zone often find it challenging to adapt to new environments.”

For those in the Anioma territory who traditionally look westward, the prospect of aligning with the South-East may cause some unease. However, such discomfort is rooted in an immature perspective. He said, “It is time for those in the Anioma community who think this way to mature in their outlook. The creation of an Anioma State within the South-East holds the promise of new opportunities that will benefit all involved.”
