Julia recounted that she attended school only up to class six before dropping out due to a lack of funds to pay for her school fees. Subsequently, she began working as a housegirl in Nairobi.
She explained that while working as a housegirl, she managed to record and release an album of songs that gained popularity. However, her music did not bring in sufficient income, leading to disappointment. Despite setbacks, she persevered.
Life became challenging for Julia after she stopped working as a housegirl, assuming that her music career would sustain her. At times, she went hungry.
Since her conversion to Christianity in 1988, Julia asserts that she has never been involved in any romantic relationship, as no man has ever approached her. Despite this, she remains hopeful and trusts that God will bless her with a husband.
Julia holds onto the hope of having children, drawing inspiration from her grandmother who gave birth to a son at the age of 70. This gives her assurance that one day she will have a husband and a child.
