The opening of the recruitment is in line with the transparency agenda of the company under the leadership of the Group Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari.
The company made the disclosure on Friday through a statement issued by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Femi Soneye.
“NNPC Ltd is pleased to announce that we are currently hiring for multiple positions across various departments.
“We are seeking talented and dedicated individuals to join our team. Visit our careers page for application instructions,” the CCCO of NNPC said.
The company advised applicants who are interested in building an exciting career with the company to apply on https://careers.nnpcgroup.com.
It said, “Our team is working assiduously to accommodate the surge of applications.
“While we acknowledge the keen interest of Nigerians in having an exciting career experience with us, we reassure all Nigerians of a transparent and merit-based recruitment process
“We therefore encourage capable Nigerians to take maximum advantage of this unique opportunity.”
This is the first open recruitment exercise since the company transformed into a limited liability company in line with the PIA 2021.
In 2019, the erstwhile Nigerian National Petroleum Company conducted a recruitment exercise.
The NNPCL Group Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari had assured Nigerians of his willingness to entrench transparency in the activities of the company.
To break the jinx of opaqueness, Kyari began with publishing the company’s first financial for the first time in around 40 years, a move that was applauded by stakeholders.
Kyari had unveiled his “Roadmap to Excellence” anchored on the TAPE Agenda.
The TAPE stands for Transparency, Accountability and Performance Excellence. It was this initiative that led to the publishing of NNPC’s 2020 accounts in September 2021 which silenced doubters and the first in the company’s history.
NNPCL also published five consecutive accounts from 2018 to 2022. In August 2021, the NNPC declared a N287bn Profit After Tax (PAT) for 2020, for the first time in 44 years.
Under Kyari, the NNPC reduced its losses from N803bn in 2018 to N1.7bn in 2019, and the eventual declaration of a net profit in 2020. By fiscal 2021, the corporation’s profit grew to a profit level of N674bn. In 2022, NNPCL declared N2.52tn profit which no Nigerian entity has declared.
