Insecurity: It Was Barbaric, Insensible — Govt Reacts To Bandits’ Attack On Niger Community

The Nigerian State Government has condemned the recent attack on Anguwan Mai-Giro community of the state, describing it as barbaric, insensible, satanic, atrocious and callous. The State Acting Governor, Yakubu Garba stated this in reaction to the attack on Wednesday.

He said: “It is very disheartening and disturbing for fellow humans to carry out such a barbaric and vicious act on their fellow humans.”

Bologi Ibrahim, the Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.

According to Ibrahim, the deputy governor commiserated with the affected families, community members and the entire people of Shiroro LGA over the unfortunate incident.

He prayed “Allah to repose the souls of the departed, comfort their loved ones and grant quick healing to those injured.”

The statement added that Garba reaffirmed the determination and commitment of the Governor Bago-led administration to tame the tide of insecurity in the state.

He further encouraged the Security Agencies “not to be discouraged by the attacks on communities by the men of the underworld”, and assured them of government’s support to ensure victory against the criminals.
