In a video for the official Premier League channel on YouTube, Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola asked Palmer if he stays behind after training at Cobham.
“Yeah, if Maresca lets me!” Palmer responded.
“It’s too much sometimes. [I would stay all day] if I could.”
Palmer has recently missed out on two England games in the Nations League, while he won’t be able to play in the Conference League at least before the play-offs either. It’s safe to say that his fitness is managed as carefully as possible.
