Osaye-Samuel, who has openly expressed his desire to play in the Premier League, has a year remaining on his current contract.
“My ambition is to play in the Premier League. No disrespect to Fenerbahçe, but I’ll take the opportunity when the time is right,” he told Soccernetng in an old interview.
The 26-year-old defender joined Fenerbahçe from Queens Park Rangers in 2021 and has since attracted interest from the Premier League with clubs like Brentford and AFC Bournemouth chasing his signature.
Mourinho’s intervention may dash Osaye-Samuel’s hopes of a Premier League move, at least for now.
