Alhaji Yusuf Ado Kibiya, a one time Commissioner for Agriculture under Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s administration between 1999 to 2003, went into the election with backing almost all the party’s influential leaders.
Kibiya’s defeated two other contestants, Nura Nuhu and Sani Aliyu Muhammad with an overwhelming votes casted for him by the 5000 Delegates choice to lead the party from the ashes of intra party wrangling that humiliated the brand in an embarrassing outing in 2023 General elections might not be unconnected with his “experience, and loyalty to the party“.
