LG Poll: Gov. Adeleke, OSSIEC’s plots to form parallel LGA thicken in Osun

It is obvious that the current administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke is hellbent to create parallel administration in all the 30 Local Government Areas in Osun State as implied from the blatant refusal and resistance of the Governor to shelve the election and obey the court judgment......CONTINUE READING THE ARTICLE FROM THE SOURCE>>>>>

The ongoing charade tagged Local Government election is a clear manifestation of the government’s antics in collusion with the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission, OSSIEC and the ruling party in the state – the People’s Democratic Party to plug the state into crises.

It was gathered that Peoples Democratic Party, Hashim Abioye, the embattled OSSIEC chairman have perfected a plan to announce, from an undisclosed place, names of purported winners of a non-existent election and present them to the public.

Part of the plans, as being revealed, includes issuance of purported Certificate of Return to the collated names as published in the Nigerian Tribune few months ago by the OSSIEC somewhere in one private building close to the State Government Secretariat, Abeere, Osogbo.

It was gathered that a place around GRA, Okefia, Osogbo, was initially suggested but canceled over some security concerns.

The information has it that political hoodlums suspected to be PDP thugs have been masquerading as voters for the failed elections as they have been working to announce the names of their candidates purportedly nominated in July 2024 as the winners in 30 Local Governments and 332 wards of the state.

It was further revealed that the collated names as elected officers would be pushed forward to foment crises as Chairmen and Councillors into the offices already occupied by the reinstated APC elected officers.

Currently, in the failed ‘election’, the PDP supposed chairmanship candidates are the ones in possession of the purported ‘electoral materials ‘and they have been moving them around only waiting for the appointed time to make announcements of their already orchestrated illegality.

Further hints revealed that no any person went to any of the 332 collation centers as effort to force a ruse as an election on the good people of Osun State was again foiled.

However, members of the public should be wary of the heinous moves of the political gladiators masquerading as leaders and OSSIEC officers.

It is therefore apposite to implore people of the state to remain calm, peaceful and law abiding while the law enforcement agencies are commended for ensuring that the aim of the PDP and OSSIEC to create avoidable crises is effectively tamed.

Similarly, urgent calls still go to the police, DSS and all other security agencies to watch out for these thugs that may attempt to create crises by false pretenses using the failed elections.
