Witnesses recounted that the bus slipped into the collapsed section of the bridge amid the downpour, leaving passengers with varying degrees of injuries. Local authorities quickly responded, transporting the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment.
In response to the incident, Oba Ezekiel Abolarinwa Olajide, the Onisapa of Isapa, called on the Oyo State government to prioritize urgent repairs to prevent future accidents on the heavily-traveled route.
