I’m 29, so we lost our dad when i was just 6. My mom single handedly raised me & my elder brother whom is 5 yrs older than I, Mom Sponsored us in school. So, I’ve been living with my brother for over 2 yrs now, we were happy. But, ever since his wife stepped in to the house everything changed. Most often, I’m expected to cook & even wash dishes, even though she’s married to my brother, I don’t understand how a married woman abandons her house chores to someone else. I understand i used to do these things but, not anymore, not now that my brother is married. She’s supposed to do those chores as his wife. Its her duty not mine for goodness sake! why involve me !
She cooks & serves me food instead of I going to dish out food by myself. I’ve been living with my brother even before she came so I know my way to the kitchen. I really feel disrespected about all these coupled with the fact that I’m 2 yrs older than this lady. For the first time ever, my brother even asked me not to come back late in his house anymore. I believe it’s all her doing. This wasn’t the case before she came, I had my spare keys even when my brother travels, I’ll go out & come back at anytime i like. I mean, i had freedom..
My mom, nolonger visits us because she’s yet to be pregnant & haven’t been able to give my brother a child for a whole 2 good years. My brother has changed & even refuses to listen to anyone not even mom on any matter that has to do with the wife & even reduced the monthly allowances that he used give us. I know it’s the wife who asked him to do so, For over a month now, he’s stoped visiting mom simply because she asked him to take another wife who can give him kids..
I need advice, pls, help us suggest a way we can make this lady leave, she’s trying to come between a good family things weren’t like this. We were living happily as a family before she cam.
