The mother says that life was not easy. She had divorced her husband two years before her daughter got sick, leaving her with no options but to sell all that she had to take care of her.
After one year of treatment, the doctor advised her to buy an oxygen machine for her daughter because the treatment had failed. Through the help of her friends and good Samaritans, she was able to purchase one because it’s very expensive.
Getrude says that the machine uses a lot of electricity. Since the day her daughter started using it, it has been 20 years now, and the amount of electricity usage has doubled, costing her 20 times more because she has to use it 24/7.
She claims that she cultivates to get money for the bills, and sometimes it’s not enough, but she thanks God they have never had the power cut off. Her daughter, named Adeline, can’t even do anything for herself, and her mother is the one who feeds her and takes care of all her needs.
Getrude says that her daughter can only survive with the machine for one hour, so they don’t go anywhere and instead stay home throughout.
She is now pleading with well-wishers to donate money so she can buy another oxygen machine that does not use electricity all the time because the bills are too high.
