After her father died, she had to look for a job to support her mum in raising her siblings. She went to Nakuru and worked for one year. One fateful morning, as she went to harvest food for the cows, two men dressed in face masks attacked her, tied her hands, and closed her mouth with a sock. One man raped her while the other one penetrated her anally. Luckily, a middle-aged woman passed by and took her to the hospital. She was treated, and the police were involved, but no one was arrested. When she was discharged from the hospital, her mother took her home and took good care of her.
She stayed there for 3 years and relocated to Naivasha. She started hawking clothes there and got into a relationship which lasted for two years.
