The planned nationwide protest kicked off today, (Thursday, August 1) across Nigeria as demonstrators protest against hardships, insecurity, hunger and poor living conditions. Dubbed #EndbadGovernanceinNigeria, the protest is scheduled to hold for the next ten days and has garnered massive support from Nigerians across the various social media platforms.
The protest has so far witnessed some pockets of violence in some parts of the country.
In Abuja, the police fired teargas at protestors as reported by the Reuters. In Kano, a similar incident occurred after demonstrators attempted to light a bonfire outside of the governor’s office.
As the protest continue unabated, let’s take a look at some messages Nigerians have for President Tinubu’s government as demonstrated by the placards and banners they’re holding.
