The prophetic hall of fame, prophet Godwin Ikuru of Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry has insisted that it’s injudicious and imprudent for the government to declare a state of emergency now because the government never wanted the protest and it did every possible to avert the protest but the people insisted on protesting “government should not call for a state of emergency, if they do, it will look as if they are trying to deprive the people and shield them off from their right to protest, the government did their best to stop the protest but the people insisted on protesting ,we know the sponsors of the protest and we will hold them responsible for the destructions and damages that would be incurred in the course of this protest”.
He reiterated that the government is a legitimate one that would never unleash force and hostility on the people of Nigeria “this government has absolute legitimacy and would never use cohesion to achieve any result, they pleaded with Nigerians not to protest, but the masses insisted because there were people engineering and motivating them to protest in order to subvert the nation, let them go on with the protest but whenever they are tired and ready for dialogue, the government is also ready because it’s a listening government “
