In a Monday statement on his X handle, Ifaluyi-Isibor alleged that Obaseki will be falsely accused of stealing a “$2.5 trillion World Bank loan” given to the State.
His words: “Ifaluyi-Isibor warned that social influencers will be paid to spread the false narrative, with some receiving ‘cool millions’ to post on Twitter, while others in Benin and Auchi will get ‘ten ten k’ (10,000) to share on Facebook.

“They will do all the media BS to gain some legitimacy before the people, but guess what! Edo people have wisened up!”
Despite the anticipated smear campaign, Ifaluyi-Isibor maintained that Governor Obaseki has served Edo State to the best of his ability.
“Godwin Obaseki has done his own and done his best, you shut up and do your own too,” he stated.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) administration of Governor Obaseki comes to an end today, Tuesday, November 12, 2024, making way for the incoming All Progressives Congress (APC) administration of Senator Monday Okpebholo.
