This announcement was made in a statement on Thursday night by Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, the National Organising Secretary of the ruling party.
The newly formed Campaign Council consists of 306 members, reflecting a broad representation within the party.
Argungu confirmed that the inauguration of the National Campaign Council is scheduled for October 28, 2024, at 12 p.m.
The event will take place at the International Event Centre, also known as The Dome, in Akure, Ondo State.
In addition to Sanwo-Olu, notable members of the Campaign Council include Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, Minister of Budget Atiku Bagudu, and Edo State Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu, as well as Senator Simon Bako Lalong and others.
This coalition aims to strengthen the APC’s efforts in the upcoming gubernatorial elections in Ondo State.
