A passenger plane – Voepass Flight 2283 with 62 passengers traveling from Cascaval to Paulo Guarulhos has crashed in Brazil’s Sao Paulo state on Friday, local media reported. Brazil’s TV GloboNews showed footage of a large area on fire and smoke coming out of an apparent plane fuselage. Additional footage on GloboNews showed a plane drifting downward vertically, spiraling as it fell.
Brazil’s airport authority Infraero did not immediately confirm the information after a request from The Associated Press
The company, Voepass in a statement acknowledged the crash but said an immediate update cannot be given on the status of the 58 passengers and 4 crew members on board.
