Former First Lady of Nigeria, Patience Jonathan, has spoken about what transpired on the day her husband, ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, lost the presidential election. Recalling the incident, Patience who spoke recently disclosed what played out in their home when the news of her husband’s loss got to them. She said that she did not whisper to her husband that they must remain in the presidential Villa which is where Nigeria’s seat of power is located, rather, she and her husband accepted the outcome and moved on.
Patience added that many people would have died if they decided to cling to power and fight on. But, she stated that she and her family did not need to shed innocent blood, instead, they preferred to toe the path of peace.
