Osun State Police Command on Friday paraded a serving corps member, John Olowosaye ‘M’ Aged 22yrs for allegedly conspiring with a popular Osogbo thug, Olalekan Dauda Oyeyemi a.k.a Emir, in kidnapping two people. “The police not resting on their oars on 3/7/2024 arrested the above suspects in connection with the crime.”
She further explained that “Investigation reveals that the suspect conspired with one Olalekan Dauda Oyeyemi a.k.a Emir and abducted the victims at Ede and brought them to somewhere at Balogun area in Osogbo, where a ransom of #2.6million was paid to account of Olalekan Dauda Oyeyemi A.k.a Emir.
“The suspect will be charged to court after the completion of the investigation” she said.
But in his own narration, the suspect told Blaze Newz that he had a transaction with the two guys that involved the payment of dollars into their account.
He said they are to help him convert the dollars to naira but later refused to send him is money worth N4.487m.
The suspect further explained that he contacted Emir to help him collect the money from the guys, “they (Emir & his gang) went to Ede where the guys are to meet them and carry them.
“Emir and people waiting for us there with those guys seems to know each other, like superiority of power, they handed over the case to Emir to carry those guys to Osogbo for three days.
“They tortured them to know what happened to the money, later some people now have to stand for them and they were released.They said they were going to pay a certain amount at a particular date and that was September 30,2023.
“By September 30,they paid N1m first and a week later paid N1.6m into Emirs account.”
The suspect, however, revealed that Emir gave him N1m out of the N2.6m retrieved from his business partner.
