Dokubo echoed her sentiments, highlighting the adverse effects of protests on women and children, and called for unity and support for the President.
The National Association of Nigerian Students also declared its opposition to the protests, aligning with the women’s rally and advocating for national unity and patience with the government.
According to the minister, “We are mothers and we don’t want our children to die, we don’t want this protest because when there is protest, it shatters a country.
“I am begging Nigerians, alongside my brothers, children and women so that Nigerians will understand that the narratives are about to change.”
“I am therefore pleading with Nigerians from my heart that government is committed to fight for women, children and all and I can’t do this if the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was not giving me support,” she said.
On his part, Dokubo argued that since the president is not a magician, it is unreasonable for Nigerians to expect him to be able to resolve every issue facing the nation in one year.
