Premium Times had reported that the Rivers State High Court in Port Harcourt issued an order on Friday, prohibiting 25 lawmakers supported by former governor Nyesom Wike from acting as members of the state’s House of Assembly.
Judge Charles Wali instructed them to refrain from participating in any legislative activities until the case is heard on 29 May, in response to a lawsuit brought by factional speaker Victor Oko-Jumbo and two other colleagues aligned with Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Wike said, “Don’t be afraid nobody will remove you as an Assembly member. Most of you don’t understand. This is our work. Our business is to make them to fear. That is what I am doing. We will make them to be angry everyday and they will continue to make mistakes”.
