“At the end of the day, you’re already speaking to agents to discuss opportunities. For example, Chelsea for a striker spoke to different agents; the agents of [Benjamin] Sesko, the agents of [Victor] Osimhen, the agents of different players around Europe.”

Sesko and Osimhen are both expected to leave their respective teams at the end of the season due to release clauses in their contracts.
How much would Chelsea have to pay for the two strikers?

It is believed that Sesko‘s buyout fee currently stands at €65m (£56m), which is slightly more than the €5om (£43m) that was originally reported.

Reports in the German media say that the size of the Slovenian international’s release clause is dependent on performances and it could even increase to €75m (£64.5m) if certain conditions are met.

Osimhen’s price is said to be between €120m (£103m) and €130m (£112m) so the 25-year-old will cost twice as much as Sesko.
There is interest from other Premier League clubs

Sesko is known to be a long-term target for Manchester United, while Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in the RB Leipzig player in recent months.

The Gunners have also been linked with Osimhen but Chelsea’s likeliest competitors for the Nigerian are expected to be Paris Saint-Germain. The Ligue One champions are looking to replace Kylian Mbappe and they possess the financial resources to pay his buyout clause in full.

There are suggestions, though, that Osimhen is not that interested in moving back to France, having played for Lille before joining Napoli. That could help Mauricio Pochettino’s side secure his signature instead, as long as they can come up with the funds.
