Speaking to Sky Sports, Amorim commented on the challenging nature of the game, stating, “It was a tough game; we started both halves really poorly. It was difficult to calm the players and continue the game as we should have. We lacked quality but had plenty of heart. Suffering two goals after half-time in this context is really hard.”
Amorim highlighted the need for more time to improve positioning and decision-making. “If you look at the first goal, it was a good combination between the players, and after that, we had some good moments, creating chances. However, we went forward without thinking, which made it a tough context. We have to understand that this is a long journey, and that’s what our jobs are.”
In this thrilling Premier League match, goals from Nikola Milenkovic, Morgan Gibbs-White, and Chris Wood secured Nottingham Forest’s 3-2 victory. Rasmus Hojlund and Bruno Fernandes found the net for Manchester United.
