Following his passing, Alhaji Hassan Kabir Usman was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic traditions at the Dantakun Cemetery.
The funeral prayer was conducted by Sheikh Gambo Mustapha, the Chief Imam of Katsina Central Mosque.
Among those who attended the funeral prayer were prominent figures such as Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, Deputy Governor Faruk Lawal Jobe, Chief of Staff Hon. Abdullahi Jabiru Tsauri, and the grieving Emir himself.
Governor Radda expressed his profound sorrow in a condolence message delivered by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed.
The Governor praised the late Usman’s significant contributions to the cultural and social development of Katsina State, remarking that his loss has created a significant void in the hearts of the people and the state.
“We have lost not just a traditional leader, but a bridge-builder and custodian of our heritage,” Governor Radda said.
He extended his deepest sympathies to the Emir, the royal family, and the people of Katsina State, urging them to uphold the values of peace, unity, and progress that Alhaji Hassan Kabir Usman embodied throughout his life.
“In this moment of grief, we take comfort in his legacy and the wisdom, compassion, and dedication to service he leaves behind,” the Governor added, encouraging all citizens to pray for the departed soul and for strength for the bereaved family.
