Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri is under fire from Nigerians after he shared a photo of himself with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
During his visit to Nigeria, Omokri paid a visit to Tinubu in Aso Rock and other dignitaries. In a photo shared on his social media page, he captioned it, “Spending Independence Day with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa. May God bless Nigeria.”
Explaining his reason for coming to Nigeria, he mentioned that his return was due to the progress in the country.
According to Omokri, the insecurity challenges are being addressed under President Tinubu’s government.
He expressed excitement at the efforts being made under the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration regarding the hike in prices of food and fuel which he believes will reduce drastically.
He also appealed to Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu’s policies and show support for the country.
His comments sparked an uproar among Nigerians on social media, who berated him for his statements. Many described him as a hypocrite, shameless and useless, following his association with the APC despite being a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Nigerians began to dig up old posts of Omokri where he insulted President Bola Tinubu, labelled him a drug lord and conducted a protest in Chatham, United Kingdom.
His shift from criticizing President Tinubu to praising and supporting him raised concerns.
