My friend Akos asked me to accompany her to meet a guy she had been talking to for over a month. They met online, liked each other and started talking. They agreed to meet in person before they could think about anything else. I was sceptical. She was meeting him the first time and I didn’t think it was ideal for me to follow her. She told me it was for security purposes so I tagged along. We met this guy who welcomed us with a smile and handshake. He asked my name and I told him. Akos went ahead to tell him I was her best friend......Read The Full Article>>.....Read The Full Article>>
We ordered and started talking. I wanted to excuse them but they both insisted I should stay. It was a lively environment but my mind was on the food and the drink. Occasionally they invited me into their conversation.
When we were leaving, Akos whispered, as if there was someone with us, “He likes you. It’s obvious the way he kept his eyes on you.”
I didn’t look at the guy enough to see if indeed he was watching me. Days later, Akos called to tell me she had met the guy the second time and was convinced she didn’t like him. She said the guy brags a lot and looked like someone who would not give her a breathing space.
Another day, she called to tell me the guy asked of me. Weeks later she told me she gave my number to the guy because he kept asking about me.
When the guy called it was a vibe. The second time he called he asked for a meeting. I asked if Akos was coming and he told me Akos wasn’t picking up his calls.
I called Akos. I told her what the guy had said. She said the guy was calling her every minute as if his kidney was with her so she stopped answering his calls. When I told her about the meeting she screamed, “I told you he likes you. Go. Who knows, you two will thank me later for bringing you together.”
A month later, we started dating. I didn’t think twice about his proposal because he proved he was that guy who would love me for who I am.
I told Akos when we started dating. She was happy for us. We went out together often, the three of us, until she stopped coming around. She became cold all of a sudden and started missing my calls. Even When I went to her place, she gave me an attitude.
So the guy told me to stop telling her about our issues and I did. Now it is worse. She has blocked me from viewing her status, she doesn’t pick up my calls or respond to my text. Everything looks like over ten years of friendship is going down the drain.
I haven’t done anything wrong. I dated this guy because she was happy for us. I did because she told me she didn’t like him. I dated him because, in the end, my best friend becomes part of my life story so why is she now behaving this way?
She’s here. I hope she reads this and gives me an explanation because I don’t know what’s going on again.
