Student Nurse Who Helped Resuscitate Accident Victim Through CPR Offered Employment

Moonga was the first to respond to the rescue of Mr Kalaba and performed Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) at the scene.

The former Chipolopolo skipper had been involved in a road accident that claimed the life of the driver.

She responded by performing CPR for around 20 minutes until she noticed signs of life in the victim, who has since been discharged from the hospital.

Moonga was given the letter of appointment by Civil Service Commission Chairperson Dr Choolwe Beyani.

Beyani praised the graduate for her bravery, adding that the gesture of employment was in line with the presidential directive to employ volunteers.

An elated Moonga thanked the Civil Service Commission and the government for the reward.

The Eden University graduate added that saving the life of Mr Kalaba, whom she did not know, has changed her life.

Elsewhere, Kenyans expressed their anger after a video of a man who was almost swept by floods went viral on the internet.

Details indicate that  the man had been warned against daring to cross the raging water but he ignored the warning and plunged in.

His move came days after Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary  Kipchumba Murkomen asked Kenyans to avoid engaging in activities that can claim lives.
