Activist Harrison Gwamnishu confirmed the development, stating that Ochekwo attempted to escape during the transport. “He was killed while trying to escape with his car. The whereabouts of Celine and Afiba are still unknown,” Gwamnishu reported. The activist also shared a video of another victim who managed to escape from Ochekwo’s house after being held hostage for six days.

The case came to public attention on May 22 when Gwamnishu raised the alarm on social media. He reported that the two friends had left Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to meet a man they had connected with on Facebook in Aba, Abia State. Following their disappearance, Ochekwo was arrested but refused to disclose the locations of Celine and Afiba.

Further investigation revealed Ochekwo’s involvement in a larger organ harvesting syndicate. The police, along with vigilant efforts from the community, were working to uncover more details about the network and locate the missing women.

Despite Ochekwo’s death, the search for Celine Ndudim and Afiba Tandoh continues, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward.
