The vacuum created by this development, which is stalling progress in the area, remains unresolved.
However, those in the know claim the situation has taken a turn for the worse.
There are now raging allegations of suspicious withdrawals from the council’s accounts without proper authentication.
Part of the assertions spilling onto the streets from the local council area is that the chairman’s signature is being forged.
Two out of the three banks where the LCDA has accounts are further alleged to have raised eyebrows over the “unusual signature.”
Receipts testifying to the furtive withdrawals have reportedly surfaced.
Those in the know claim the trending allegations have added to the tension created by the chairman’s absence, as she failed to follow the chain of command to ensure proper operations in her absence.
These developments come after concerned citizens and stakeholders petitioned the Lagos State House of Assembly through the Speaker’s office about happenings at the LCDA.
