Nottingham Forest got the equalizer in the 16th minute of the game as Willy Boly found the back of the net with a fine header to make the scoreline 1-1 at halftime.
Surprisingly, Nottingham Forest took the lead for the very first time in the 74th minute of the game as Callum Hudson-Odoi curled the ball brilliantly into the back of the net to make the scoreline 2-1. Chelsea turned things around in the space of just two minutes as they took a surprising 3-2 lead over Nottingham Forest thanks to quick goals from Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Jackson. The Blues held on to their slim advantage for the remaining minutes of the game as they eventually secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest at full-time.
Meanwhile, Manchester City bagged their fifth consecutive victory in the competition today when they faced Fulham at the Carven Cottage Stadium.
