Professor Ikechukwu described Governor Fubara as “cool, calm, and levelheaded,” who played a strategic game to achieve his position. He warned that underestimating Fubara’s patience and thoroughness would be a mistake, as he is likely to take decisive action to address the political crisis in the state.
The ongoing feud between Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, has led to a probe into Wike’s activities, deepening the political crisis in Rivers State.

“The Ijaws are the majority in Rivers State, very likely from all indications, the fourth largest Ethnic group in Nigeria, resilient people, not always on top for all kinds of reasons but now their man has come on top. He came out cool calm and levelheaded. He probably played dead long enough in order to get it, now he has gotten it, that’s the wrongest kind of person to take on. A patient, thorough, detailed person
