Cody Rhodes’ win at WrestleMania was a significant moment in his career, but it came with some assistance from other WWE stars who helped keep The Bloodline at bay. Among those who supported Rhodes was The Undertaker, the legendary WWE Hall of Famer. On his “ Six Feet Under
” podcast, The Undertaker discussed Rhodes’ future as champion and what fans can expect from his reign.
The Undertaker explained that Rhodes is likely to work a lot because he wants to, setting him apart from Roman Reigns, who had a more limited in-ring schedule during his title reign.
The Undertaker clarified that Reigns’ sporadic schedule as champion was part of his storyline and helped maintain the aura of dominance surrounding his Tribal Chief character. However, he indicated that Rhodes would likely take a different approach, emphasizing that he’s eager to see Rhodes in action.
With Roman Reigns out of the picture, the Undisputed WWE Championship will now be defended by Rhodes, who is set to face AJ Styles at Backlash
. This matchup is significant for several reasons: it’s WWE’s first Premium Live Event in France, and it’s also the first time Rhodes and Styles will meet one-on-one in a WWE ring, so we will have to wait and see how Cody Rhodes will fare in his match against The Phenomenal One at Backlash on May 4th.
