The crash caused severe damage to the building, with a large hole visible in the roof and smoke billowing from the site. The Fullerton Police Department confirmed the fatalities in a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “There are two confirmed fatalities.”

Among the injured, ten people were hospitalized, while eight others received treatment at the scene. Investigators are still working to determine whether the deceased were on the plane or inside the building at the time of the crash. “We’re still investigating whether the victims were passengers or individuals inside the structure,” a police officer told KTLA.

Witnesses recounted the frightening moments following the crash. Jerome Cruz, a worker at the building, described the impact: “All we heard was like a loud noise, boom, and that’s it. Then we started running out,” he said during an interview with CBS News.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) identified the aircraft as a single-engine Van’s RV-10, a small four-seater model. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the FAA.

This incident follows a similar aviation accident near Fullerton Airport in November, which resulted in two people being injured. Authorities continue to gather details and investigate the cause of Thursday’s crash.
