Ekohotblog reports that the incident, which took many residents by surprise, involved accusations and jealousy over the man’s attention.
According to eyewitnesses, Kola, a married father of two, had been pursuing Margaret, a food vendor and mother of two, for a long time.
However, Margaret turned him down, stating that her children were her priority.
“I told him I wasn’t interested because my children come first. He kept coming to my shop to buy food and help me out, but I never encouraged him,” Margaret said.
Tawa, a single mother of one, had been a frequent customer at Margaret’s canteen, often coming around whenever Kola was there.
One day, Kola asked Margaret to introduce him to Tawa, and Margaret did so.
Tawa quickly accepted his advances, and the two started dating.
Things seemed fine initially, but trouble started when Kola continued visiting Margaret’s shop and offering her help, making Tawa feel insecure.
“Tawa started telling people that I was trying to take her boyfriend, but I ignored her. I didn’t want any trouble,” Margaret explained.
The tension reached its peak when Tawa confronted Margaret at her shop. Words were exchanged, and the argument quickly turned into a physical fight, shocking bystanders.
“I couldn’t take it anymore. She was acting like she was innocent, but I knew something was going on between them,” Tawa said.
Residents eventually separated the two women, and the incident has since become the talk of the community.
“It’s sad to see two women fighting over a married man. He’s the one causing this problem,” said a witness who wished to remain anonymous.
