The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine laid out statistics on how many Ukraine has taken out Russian vehicles and aircraft as well as Russian troops.
Posting on Facebook, it said the recent fighting has taken the overall Russian death toll since the start of the war to 467,000.
In the last week, Kyiv says six tanks, 16 armoured cars, 37 artillery systems, and 21 UAV systems were destroyed as well as more than 1,300 Russia soldiers.
The news will be a boon for Ukraine, which has been on the backfoot following a disruption of Western military aid.
US lawmakers have since passed a massive aid package but Russia continues to advance while Ukraine waits the arrival of weapons and ammo.
Kyiv has been running low on ammunition and manpower, but the $60billion (£49billion) aid package from Washington could help turn the tide.
On Sunday, Ukraine’s top general said fighting had intensified in the east of the country and that troops had to fall back.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi said Russian troops had “certain tactical successes” in the villages of Berdychi, Semenivka, and Novomykhailivka, in the eastern Donetsk region.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Kyiv is still waiting for US military aid.
He said: “We are expecting those volumes and scope that can change the situation on the battlefield in Ukraine’s interests.”
