Wearing the Ultrahuman Ring AIR — Initial Thoughts

I’m really keeping an eye on my health and fitness metrics this year — to the extent where I’m currently wearing three tracking devices. I’d like to make something abundantly clear: if I wasn’t a tech reviewer, I wouldn’t be wearing this many health tracking devices. I do understand, however, that smartwatches aren’t for everyone. More importantly, I know that there are plenty of people out there who don’t wear watches at all — smart or merely of the time-telling variety.

That’s why, presumably, there’s a clamour from brands big and not so big to jump on the smart ring bandwagon. Samsung did it at Mobile World Congress earlier this year with an official preview of the Samsung Ring. Apple is rumoured to be working on its own health-focused ring. In fact, pretty much every tech manufacturer worth knowing about has either previewed its own version of a smart ring, or is probably working on the consumer-ready version as I type.

Thankfully, there are a bunch of smart rings out there already, which means I can at least ready myself for the onslaught of the big boys by giving this form of health tracking a go.
