Mathare woman loses house she’s lived in for 29 years

In an earlier story, a blind Mathare woman is seeking help to restart her life, which was ravaged by floods and the recent demolitions.

Agnes Wanjiku had gone to the nearby church to borrow food when a bulldozer demolished her house.

By the time she returned, everything was gone, including the KSh 10,000 the government had given her as her flood relief fund.

The development took away the house the elderly woman had called home for 29 years.
