This nostalgic visit marked his return to a church where he worshipped during his childhood.
Olukoya was warmly welcomed by Pastor Gideon Obiwale, the regional superintendent who shared pictures and videos of the occasion on Facebook.
In his post, Obiwale wrote, “General Overseer, MFM Dr. D.K. Olukoya on his courtesy visit to CAC, Oke Igan Odubanjo Regional Headquarters, Akure (his source). Received by the Regional Superintendent, Pastor G. O. Obiwale.”
This isn’t Olukoya’s first visit to Akure to reconnect with his roots. In 2021, he visited his alma mater, St. John’s CAC Primary School, Oke-Igan where he completed his elementary education.
During that visit, Olukoya funded the renovation of the school, transforming it from a state of disrepair into a modern 21st-century institution.
