Security Guard Nabbed For Chewing Cook’s Daughter In Lilongwe

Lingadzi Police Station Publicist Sergeant Cassim Manda has confirmed of the arrest indicating that the suspect hails from Manyenje village, Traditional Authority Chitukula in Lilongwe district.

“The suspect first sexually abused the girl on Saturday, June 15th, 2024 within the compound at around 5:00 am and the whole more started on Friday, June 14th when Kalimba wrote her a letter asking if she has friends, but the victim did not respond,” Manda said.

On a fateful day, the suspect left his post to patrol around the house of the victim’s father, who also resides close to the house of his boss and knew that the victim would normally wake up early, around 5 am, to wash dishes.

It is alleged that it did not take time before the victim came out of the house and she was called by the suspect into a sentry close to the house,” he added.

He defiled her and gave her K2,000 as both token of appreciation and a reward for silencing her from disclosing an act to her parents.

Thereafter, on Thursday morning, the same happened at around 4 am when the victim went outside her house to relieve herself and the guard was patrolling the house leaving his post as he took a chance to accomplish his desires and defiled the girl for the second time.

He will be taken to court soon to answer a case of defilement, which is contrary to Section 138 of the Penal Code, which attracts the maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
